Startopia Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 12, 2026

This page explains, at a practical level, what information Startopia stores to deliver the product, the MCP integration surface, and the related security controls around external AI connections.

Information Startopia may process

Account details such as username, email, and authentication metadata.
Project content you store in Startopia, including notes, ideas, tasks, comments, and AI-related context.
Integration configuration and project-scoped external access tokens you create for MCP clients and other tools.
Operational and security data such as token last-used timestamps, write previews, and audit-style usage records.

How that information is used

Startopia uses stored project data to render your workspace, organize notes and tasks, power AI workflows you explicitly trigger, and expose project-scoped context to external AI tools that you connect.

External access tokens are used to authenticate MCP and related integration requests. Those tokens can be limited to a single project and to specific scopes such as read-only access or safe write previews.

Operational records such as token last-used timestamps and write preview history help with security, debugging, and connection management.

Security and control

Startopia uses scoped project tokens so external AI tools do not need your full account token.
Safe write integrations use preview-then-commit flows instead of silent unrestricted writes.
You can revoke or rotate external access tokens from the integrations area.
The public MCP discovery documents describe capabilities, but do not expose your project data without authentication.

Your choices

You can deactivate or rotate external access tokens, remove integrations, and manage the project data stored in your workspace through the product interface.

If you need help with privacy or security questions about an integration, use the public support page so the request includes the exact client and connection path involved.
